To request time off, you must complete a Request for Time Off Form. Please do this at least 24 hours ahead of time if you are able. A copy of this form is also available in UltiPro under “Electronic Forms”. Once you complete the form, you will send the form to Angie Day (HS Principal). She will then approve (if applicable) and send it to K12’s TimeSheets. If it’s declined, she will reach out and explain why. Note that RTO during testing windows should be reserved for emergencies.
When taking time off:
Ensure that Class Connects are canceled for the day.
Email your students with a video/screencast explaining what to do in the absence of your CC.
Set up an Away message in both your @k12 and @indls email.
Shortly afterwards, your time off will also be processed in UltiPro. You can view remaining time off from the PTO section of UltiPro. Note- time off is not automatically processed in UltiPro. It’s a good idea to keep track of how much time you have taken as a backup. This will ensure that you are aware of your time and do not get left short on hours when you need it.
When you arrive to the day of your time off, be sure that you have set an automatic reply so that others know that they may not receive a response from you. Include when you will return so that they will know when they can expect to hear from you. CLICK HERE to access a guide on how to set up automatic replies.
